I need a bigger WHAT??

Alright...here I am at work and I decide to check my email like I have done thousands of times before. Today, I think, will be different...no spam today. WRONG. After wading through countless ads for making my bust bigger (Im a guy and dont really WANT my bust size to be bigger) I come to the ones that want to make my penis bigger. How do these people know I need this?

Im so sick of people taking up my time and inbox space wanting to sell me something, or to make this bigger or that smaller. Dont these people have lives? What are the spammers getting out of it all? Do they really think that the lonely guy that opens his morning email and sees an ad to enlarge something will click that link right away? I wonder just how much money they make with the spam.

Oh, and lets not forget the stock market. My God, how does Wall Street function without these tips on the hottest stocks to buy in their email every day? This country will fall flat on it's face if I don't buy gold.

I think Im gonna do NaNoWriMo this year with the spam as my plot. Maybe have a lone vigellante hunt down and kill all of the spammers. Yeah, that's what Im gonna do. Ill just sit back and enjoy my energy drink and think about that.

Now, where was that email from the guy in Nigeria who wanted me to help him get his money? I simply MUST respond to that one.

Hmmm...I wonder

i wonder if I add more Hersheys chocolate to my diet if it will make me write better.  Did wonders for Kelley over at "Will Write For Chocolate" who not only placed third in a Poetry Contest at Artella's Poetry Contest, but she has had two acceptances of short stories this week...Way to go Kelley!

I mention Kelley 'cause she apparently is the only one who reads my blog so far...that and I have to bribe her with chocolate just to read it.

What to write about for NaNoWriMo...

Thinking of a story just doesnt come naturally to me. I have been wracking my brains trying to come up with the best story idea I can. I have a few things in mind and I know I want to just let the story tell itself as it works toward the ending that I have. Yes, I do have the ending already planned out. Ending, I have...characters and plot I dont.

I DO know that it will be a mystery/crime piece. I cant resist these types of books to read, so it is natural that I also write it. I just dont want to fall into the same old "detective, who is an alcoholic with a bad marriage, risks everything to stop the killer" type books. I want something different. But it will probably end up the same old "detective, who is an alcoholic with a bad marriage, risks everything to stop the killer" type book.

However it ends up, its gonna be fun to do it! I just hope that with everything that I have going o0n with work, family, 2nd job, and World of Warcraft (yeah, Im an addict for WoW) where Im gonna find the time to write. I think Ill get up two hours early every day and write for those two hours. Or fall asleep and let my forehead roll around on the keyboard and hope that something comes out of it.

Well, I have a blog. Now what?

Well...I have finally done two things that I have wanted to do for a while now. I have committed myself to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) and have started this blog. The title of it says it all. I am a complete and utter NOOB when it comes to writing. I have never had anything published. This isnt because I have never written anything, but I have been too scared to try to get it published (I hate rejection - :)).

Well, that is all about to change as I am now going to start on something in the month of November that I hope will turn into something that I can send to agents to try to get represented. Others have done it, why cant I?

So...Im gonna be frantically trying to get 50,000 words pumped out in the month of November. Hopefully these words will actually be coherent enough to make a story...something that I can edit and add to to actually send to an agent as a query.
